January 21, 2017, just a day after the 45th Presidential inauguration, millions of people gathered around the world to march in solidarity for the rights, safety, and health of women. Among this multitude was a large group of Mills College students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends that joined the estimated 100,000 Oakland participants.
The Mills College marketing department has been a long time client of mine and it was very exciting to capture the spirit and heartbeat of their campus in action on the city streets. Often my higher ed clients want to show the vitality and passions of their students, which can be limited if we just stay inside of a classroom. It’s in events like these that speak so clearly to what vibrant student life can look like.
